                                              2011 Thanksgiving Day Project

In the Fall of 1987, ten young men embarked upon a journey that would change their lives and the face of Sigma forever. While pledging Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) the following individuals initiated a service project that would endure the test of time.
                                              Waddell Daniels

                                              Purnell Glenn

                                              Dexter Greene

                                              Tracey Hill

                                              Keith Mack

                                              Kevin Morton

                                              Brian Ward (Shakoor Ahmed)

                                              Delano Woody

                                              Lennox Yearwood

                                              Levi Franklin

As part of their cohort's service project, Kevin Morton came up with idea to feed the less fortunate at The City Temple of Baltimore.  This project created a base of operations that allowed them to feed about 1,000 persons in need during its peak on Thanksgiving Day.  Although the numbers of recipients has diminished over time, the community's need has not.  Additional public efforts have fulfilled some of that need, but The City Temple and Phi Beta Sigma still need your support.

We are collecting goods and donations to support our partnership. Some of the needs include:
